Cailleach’s Tide | Teal Sapphire & Argentium Silver Ring
Cailleach’s Tide
A tide caught in silver.
At the heart of this ring sits a natural ocean-teal cushion cut sapphire, surrounded by swirling, hand-carved silver that seems to turn and fold like water caught in motion. Tiny curves and eddies create the feeling of bubbles, currents and a powerful whirlpool, as though the sea itself has wrapped around the stone.
Entirely hand carved in wax before being cast in higher quality Argentium silver, every line is shaped by hand, making this a true one-of-a-kind piece. Delicate enough for everyday wear, yet rich with texture and character, Cailleach’s Tide is a quiet statement for those drawn to the sea and the stories it carries.
Hallmarked in the UK and set with a genuine natural sapphire, this is an heirloom-quality piece of artisan jewellery, handmade in Scotland and inspired by the wild Scottish coastline, folklore and the ever-changing ocean.

The Folklore
The ring takes its name from The Cailleach , the ancient Scottish goddess of winter, mountains and wild places.
Legend tells that the Cailleach washed her great plaid in the Corryvreckan Whirlpool, one of the world’s most powerful tidal whirlpools, lying between the islands of Jura and Scarba. As she beat the cloth against the surging water, the sea frothed and churned, creating the fierce currents that still command respect today.
The swirling silver surrounding the sapphire echoes those powerful waters; never still, always moving. Capturing the beauty, mystery and untamed spirit of Scotland’s seas.
