Kelp Forest Earrings
Inspired by the wild kelp forests that grow beneath the waters of Scotland’s west coast, these sculptural sterling silver earrings capture the fluid shapes and movement of kelp as it sways with the changing currents.
Hand forged from sterling silver sheet and wire, each element has been individually shaped to echo the natural, flowing forms of seaweed moving beneath the surface. The result is an organic, sculptural design with a lovely sense of movement, reflecting the untamed beauty of Scotland’s underwater landscape.
Kelp forests are vibrant underwater habitats, providing shelter and hunting grounds for an abundance of marine life. Along the west coast of Scotland, seals weave through these underwater forests, hunting, exploring and playing amongst the swaying fronds.
It is this hidden world beneath the waves that inspired the design.
With their elongated, flowing silhouette, these earrings make a distinctive statement while remaining beautifully wearable. A little piece of Scotland’s wild coastline, brought to life in silver.
