Product Details
The beating heart of the Scottish Selkie.

Handmade necklace with sterling silver and a large faceted indigo moss kyanite, with all the blues of the sea.

The beating heart of the Selkie. She knows who she is and where she belongs.

She will forever belong to the sea, and this necklace shows the coral and kelp of their underwater home, holding close the magical heart of the Selkie. Bright silver gives an ethereal feel and highlights the organic texture.

In Celtic and Norse mythology, selkies or selkie folk meaning 'seal folk' are mythological beings capable of therianthropy, changing from seal to human form by shedding their skin. They are found in folktales and mythology originating from the Northern Isles of Scotland.

These seductive creatures were often trapped by humans, who would hide their seal skin, so they could not return to the sea. This necklace shows that’, despite capture, their soul is free and forever held by their ocean home, among the deeps sea corals and kelp beds.

A reminder to always return to our true, authentic self.

Every Selkie necklace is a unique piece.

Images shown from various angles, as the coraline seaweed surrounds a beautiful indigo moss kyanite gemstone.

Comes on an 18” chain
